I love the holidays and winter in general. This year we are doing the 2nd Annula ‘12 Days of Christmas’ as a blog hop! Personally, I love the idea of giving away goodies to old friends and new ones alike. To that end, below you will find not only the giveaway and links to the other participants in the hop, but also a little snippet from “Blood Bound” where you get to see Declán and Anya (gotta love a human with a sense of humour!). Hope you enjoy my little reading treat.

“Who the hell are you and what do you mean attacking me in my territory? I would suggest you be very careful with your answer if you plan to still be in existence this time tomorrow.” I could hear the seething blood rage in my voice again but couldn’t seem to care right then. He was attacking us, trying to take me away from Declán! Somewhere in the deepest recesses of my mind I noted his eyes yet that detail only made this all the more confusing.
“You’re feeding on a Guardian! Are you insane?” The stranger’s voice was seething with nearly as much venom as mine for some strange reason. Most that know Declán was a Guardian – a natural born vampire hunter – also referred to him as my human mate . . . Why should he care what we were doing? Of course, I was still not sure why Declán had done that in the first place – cheating!
“Possibly,” I mused.
Shaking my head after a moment I continued, “I know who and what he is. He is much more than just a Guardian, he’s also my boyfriend. Well, one of them. He is not harmed, just swooned a little.” Who was this guy and what right did he have to barge in like this? While I had to again consider Declán’s sanity, I guessed, it was none of this guy’s business!
I felt Declán’s hands snake around my waist from behind, wrapping me tightly against him. I thought he might be more worried for our intruder than about. “Anya, dear, why are yous two fightin’ o’er me?” I could hear the slight slurring that his voice took on every time he was bitten.
“Because he attacked us. Why are you asking inane questions?” Really!
“I wasn’t attacking you. I was trying to stop you from killing a Guardian. I only just found out one even existed.” The stranger was twitching, obviously not calming.
“She wasn’t hurting me, whoever you are,” he mumbled holding up his hand with the strange sharp curved thimble thing on his thumb still. “It was my fault. Thank you for your concern though.”
Moving so he was pulled against my side, I looked at his face carefully. I could still hear the slurring just as I could feel how excited his body still was. My voice held the strange assailant so I wasn’t too worried about taking those extra few seconds.
“Your sanity for doing that aside, do you know your little defender here?” Maybe it was someone Declán had met recently, though I doubted it.
“No. I see the strange colour of his eyes though. If you don’t mind, I wanna sit for a minute while you argue out who has the right to bite me.” I so wanted to wipe the smirk that was now plastered on his face – off. Ugh! He slid down into a sitting position staring from me to the stranger and back again.
